Google Panda in 2012

Google Panda is a change to Google’s search results ranking algorithm that was first released in February 2011. The change aimed to lower the rank of “low-quality sites”, and return higher-quality sites near the top of the search results. During the year, there were many reports and complaints received by Google due to a drop in rankings of many websites especially news website, social networking sites, websites that were full of ads and some websites with copyright issues. This Google Panda reportedly affected the rankings of almost 12 percent of all search results.

However, Google Panda updates have been pretty consistent. Google Panda is updated from time to time and the algorithm is run by Google on regular basis.

Google panda is taking a break these coming holidays! Speculations have been made that there won’t be any changes until after the Christmas holidays. Some are assuming that Google will hold off on any major updates to Google Panda algorithm.

Now the question is: “Will there be another Google Panda this coming 2012?”.
